Invitation for ACSQ Child Protection Policy Training
Thanks for the time and energy you give to your parish! You belong to a group of over 7000 people who contribute through volunteer or professional work to the life and mission for the Anglican Church Southern Queensland. Each of us needs to undertake training to become (and remain) familiar with the Diocesan policies and procedures for the protection of children. Following the instructions of Diocesan Council, we must all do this training every three years.
You are invited to complete your training in a group situation on Saturday 22nd September in St Peter’s Parish Centre 10.00am-12noon (morning tea break included) or you can opt to complete your training online, using the new course designed to introduce you to the “Policy and Procedures for the Protection of Children – Parishes” document.
This e-learning course contains a series of videos with activities and questions and is very clear and easy to navigate.
To do the course, follow these steps:
- Visit cppt-acsq.teachable.com
- Click the “Enter and sign up for the course” button. You will be directed to create an account and then select the course.
- Do the course using the Activity Workbook and the “Policies and Procedures for the Protection of Children” document. There are links on the website that allow you to download these. The course may take 2.5 hours or so.
When you’re finished, the Office of Professional Standards will receive a notice that you’ve completed the course.
Thanks again for your valued contribution to the life of our community!
Yours in Christ
